Traditionally, if you had not sold your Fife home by the first week in November, you would normally have to wait for the house sellers to return in the famous Boxing Day rush on the portals (Rightmove, Zoopla etc) to get potential buyers interested. Fife House Prices – The Effect of Rising Inflation (watch/read/listen)

PODCAST: https://anchor.fm/fife-properties/episodes/Fife-House-Prices—The-Effect-of-Rising-Inflation-e1b4vvf

House prices tend to rise with inflation, so with UK annual inflation hitting 4.2% last week, that’s good news, isn’t it? Yes and no – let me explain what it means for Fife homeowners.

The year-on-year cost of living rose by 4.2% in October, its highest rate in almost a decade. This jump in prices (inflation), pushed mainly by increasing fuel and energy costs, placing further pressure on Fife household budgets.

So, what will this rise in inflation mean to Fife house prices? Continue reading Fife House Prices – The Effect of Rising Inflation (watch/read/listen)

Fife landlords, sell your property portfolios, your tenants will soon be leaving in droves as they buy their first home with the new 5% deposit mortgages backed by the Government’s new mortgage-guarantee scheme revealed in March’s budget! These 95% mortgages are to be supported by the Treasury, lessening losses for mortgage lenders should the borrower be incapable of repaying and get repossessed, as the Government want Generation Rent to turn into Generation Buy. FP TV (EP 22) The Busiest December for the Fife Housing Market Since 2006 (Read/watch/listen)

PODCAST: https://anchor.fm/fife-properties/episodes/FPTV-EP-22-The-Busiest-December-for-the-Fife-Housing-Market-Since-2006-eq90vp

Over the last six months, the Fife Property Market has been flourishing. As soon as an estate agent’s ‘For Sale’ flag went up, neighbours would be checking out Rightmove to see the internal pictures and compare the asking price to their own home (go on … admit you do that too – every Fife homeowner does). Flabbergasted by optimistic asking price tags, those same Fife homeowners stand open-mouthed to see a sold slip added to the board a few weeks later.
