St Andrews can add another feather to its cap, and this one isn’t related to golf or Chariots of Fire.
In a report by the Bank of Scotland, it was revealed that The Scores in St Andrews is home to the most expensive street in Scotland. The area beat some of the notoriously expensive areas of Edinburgh to the top spot.

It’s got picturesque locations, scenic views of the North Sea and close proximity to the Old Course golf course. The Scores is an incredibly desirable area of Scotland.
The average property in The Scores is worth £2,179,000. This means they far outstrip the most expensive property values in Edinburgh which on average are worth £1,899,000.
Graham Blair, mortgage director at Bank of Scotland, said: “Whilst Edinburgh normally has the ‘X factor’ when it comes to the nation’s most desirable addresses, this year’s surprise is The Scores in St Andrews taking the top spot as Scotland’s most expensive street.”
